Hello,

Welcome to DNF. Since you are new here I assume you may be new to domaining as well.
First off the name is being auctioned which means the price can go higher...
The .nu TLD is not a mainstream extension and does not enjoy the recognition of .com, .net etc (or even .dk !).
Maybe if you are targetting Scandinavia it could work (it seems nu means now in Swedish and other Scandinavian languages perhaps).
My advice would be to pass and keep your money to invest in .com domains (there are still good domains available for reg fee if you look hard enough), unless you have a plan and are ready to use the domain, and think it could fit your purpose. Check the renewal fees too (I don't know how much .nu costs) because you don't want to drop the domain later because it does not earn enough to cover renewal fees.

Also be aware there are still many excellent keywords available under .nu or other obscure extensions... if you develop and use them it may be OK but if you are looking for a future resale keep in mind that good domain sales in exotic extensions are rare :greensmilewinkgrin:
Best of luck

Thanks a lot, are country domains regarded as exotic ? And how much is considered a good domain sale ?

Wii, take sdsinc's good advice. There's nothing less exotic in this business than an obscure ccTLD domain.

I do understand those cases are rare.

Thanks

Also another thing to keep in mind i (or atleast i think so) is that in another year or so there will be another console out as technology advances so the wii will become obsolete very quickly.

If it was the .com/.net that would be different.

It was much less than I expected actually. Nu domains are very used in Scandinavia.

Hi,

I think definately no. I recently hand registered meet.nu and was very excited that I found it still unregistered waiting for me to pick it. All other extensions were taken.
Later on it turnet out even a generic name like meet.nu is not as valuable as I first thought.

Yeah all that due to the extension as .com's are used worldwide. While .nu is not really used much except for the scandinavians like sdsinc stated.

Nu domains are only worth something if the keywords are in one of the scandinavian languages, that´s why meet.nu is not worth much.
