Yes, this wasn't the first time he tried evading taxes.

That's what happens when you try to cheat the government...time to pay the price. Sadly though...he will enjoy jail.

Hard to fool those IRS folks. A simple mistake can cost thousands. As for jail time? Probably.

Why did he think he could fool them?

Probably 3 years like Wesley Snipes was sentenced to.

under the picture is this:
story said:
In this Jan. 24, 2006 file photo, Richard Hatch, who won the first "Survivor" television program, departs federal court in Providence, R.I. Hatch is appealing his tax evasion conviction to the U.S. Supreme Court. Hatch was convicted two years ago of failing to pay taxes on the $1 million prize he won on the debut season of the hit CBS reality series. He is now serving a 51-month prison sentence. He is serving time.

Yeah, this is an amusing debate, because he's been in prison since 2006.

I knew he was sentenced...

but i thought he was out till the appeal was completed...

ahhh well...

it's so much easier to just have your accountant handle things and pay whatever you owe...

his response was so STUPID...

and the Wesley Snipes thing...
That shocked me...
I don't know all the details of that one either... but...
when I heard that on the ET Channel - I thought to myself
"good gosh - just pay what you owe... how HARD is that"
