See, the problem here is that this isn't actually "William Shatner on Gun Control".
This is what we like to call a Fictional TV Character, portrayed by Actor William Shatner.

Now, I'm a fan of Shatner's. I read his website, interviews with him in them, etc... He espouses political views as freely as Denny Crane does, but I don't ever recall him actually being pro-gun-ownership in a way like say, Clint Eastwood was.
In fact, I don't think I recall him mentioning anything about guns, other than paintball guns, of which he is a fan.
