I will be starting development of my site WillTheWorldEnd.com soon, with a partner and was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to go about it ?

I already have a game plan, but just would like to hear some suggestions, I am not looking to make money from this site but if anyone has any suggestions I will consider them

I will start with videos and news posts but eventually want to make it into a social network.

Its more of a figure of speech, like all the things happening in the world people don't notice can be talked about on this site, like recently the news of Toronto mayor rob ford admitting to using crack cocaine, things like this make me ask the question, damn...will the world end ? that's when you can go on my site (once developed) and talk about/watch videos on these sort of topics, The world wont end any time soon I hope ! but I believe a site where people can talk about real life subjects that bother them can be good, like a positive social network, unlike facebook which is full of vanity and selfies..
