I recently wiped my pc and did fresh install of xp in the process I also upgraded from WMP10 to wmp11.
I have all my music saved on an external HD.
What I would like to do is add that folder to the WMP.
Thing is that MS in all its wisdom doesn't let me choose folders not located on C:\
by going to WMP --> Library -->Add folders (the advanced options are, um, not advanced really)
Any clue how to get around this?

Ok found it![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
1)Take a copy of the Shared Music folder found here--->
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents
2)Pasteit on the external HD
3) Go into where all your music is stored and Select all the files you want and cut them to the clipboard
4) open the Shared Music file you pasted into the HD
5) Paste all those Gigs of music into this folder
6) next time you open WMP 11 you will see your albums just as they were before and ready to play from the External HD
