I have just aquired two domains and would like your ideas of realistic reseller and end-user values. (I must admit I am hoping to go straight for end-users on both in this instance.)

The domains are both hacked domains (I already hear the groans loud and clear - ok, I know hacked domains are not everybodies cup of tea on this site but please be patient and give them a fair hearing).

The first of the domains is:

Fig.ht

This domain has immediate site appeal, it is very short, very descriptive, and has a ready niche market (just my opinion obviously).

Overture is:

Fight..............145,421

Related overture results are:

Karate..............184,950
Kung Fu............193,000
Wrestling...........218,099
Boxing...............220,489
Martial Arts........287,430

Now obviously it can be seen that the overture for 'fight' is the lowest of them all, but I do not think that is a problem, development along a 'fighting theme' incorporating all the above could bring in high numbers of search visitors, also because the domain name is so memorable it seems likely to me that those who search in this niche market will respond to the domain name.

The most likely possible end-users could be fight promoters or fighting magazines.

By the way the overture for 'fig' is 10,278.

The second domain name is:

Arkans.as

Obviously the this domain has specific geo-targeting qualities, the population of 2.8 million people living in Arkansas. I aim to advertise it simultaneously to the target market audience of the State whilst marketing it to prospective end-user site developers.

The overture for 'Arkansas' is 146,333 (it should be noted that the overture for 'arkans' is only 68).

The end-user who might develop this domain would likely be someone or body who is going to use it to specifically target the residents of Arkansas, whether providing a directory service, a forum service, classified ad service, local news service, in fact anything a newspaper aims to do presently, so perhaps a state or local newspaper group may well be interested in such a domain.

I would therefore sincerely like appraisals on both these domains, any ideas on their development, possible contacts, etc, even if someone here could introduce possible end-users, all would be appreciated (if a contact is made and successful then of course appreciation will be made in the normal manner in such circumstances).

Thanks for reading this and hopefully thanks for giving your time in responding as well. :eek:k:

undeveloped your domains are worth Reg Fee to me, anything outside of the .com sector is risky! Only End Users will pay you big $$$ - $$$$ for such names only if it matches their campaign/Marketing Strategy! and if anyone says your domain is worth more then reg fee - then kindly ask them to pay you for it!

Spend your money buying .com! I find expired and aftermarket domains on a daily basis, i've slowed down in buying due to work. Price range starts from $15 - $300 US. Why invest in any other extension? When millions of .com's drop on a yearly basis. Think 5 times before you decide to invest outside of the .com world.

Good Luck

i don't consider hacks as geo domains and the niche' for them rests with domainers and their ability to convince a buyer of their potential value, if any.

but i guess maybe you did so well with those .st names that you decided to venture further

if it works for you, then do yo thang :)
