Hi,
I have been reading this forum for but not posted yet, this is my first time, and I would be interested what do you guys think about 3-4 word long phrase - with decent ovt. score ( 1500 + without ext. ) . What`s your take on that ? Would you reg. it ?

four words is a stretch... i guess it would depend on the topic and the value of the ads being pulled.

The one particular I am looking at is law related, I thought you can`t go wrong with that , what do you think ?

The 4 word phrase is showing 1500 searches a month in overture without ext. .

1500 isn't really all that much.

What would you say a reasonable amount of search is that you would consider registering ?

I've just sold a 5 word phrase, but its value wasn't related to overture count.

I regged a 5 word (15 character) domain, but not for resale....just for my own development idea.

If it's a popular phrase, and the letter count is *relatively* short, it's likey worth getting, especially if it's a new registration.

Note: 1500 OVT count may not be the best indicator. Some of my names with little or no OVT get 1+ visitors per day.

ForSaleByOwner.com is 4 words and sold for more tha 800k and that was several yrs ago and worth much more today. There have also been other long phrases sold for high prices. Check old sale prices at dnjounal.com

So I bought the name, now I am curious what do you think ?

ImmigrationAttorneySanDiego.com

It is kind of long, but I think it could be valuable for somebody in SD

Well, if you want to see how it does revenue-wise, park it and monitor the stats. And if your primary objective is to sell to someone in San Diego who is in this profession, then you'll need to corner the market on the related domain names - for example substituting lawyer, putting San Diego in front, etc, etc.

Cause the end user does not know or care about overture ratings and existing search engine rankings, etc....

I know, and most likely the end user will not find me either, I just thought this could be a nice piece of real estate on the long run. I am in no hurry, the time works for the .com`s .

I think this domain can definitely be a nice piece of real estate for you in the long run, it's just a matter of finding the right end user and striking a deal...Good Luck!
