Thats not really what im looking for.. I want to have pics of the movie covers and stuff... there must be a php script or something.. I cant find it..
Ok... but, I'll just add this then, regarding imagery. A friend of mine runs these two websites:
http://www.4colorreview.com
http://www.dogblogger.com
4ColorReview.com is a popular website that specifically reviews comic books among other things. The blog system has worked well for him and his reviewers.
He uses a blog program called "b2" (
http://cafelog.com/ ), which has graduated to another name (that I can't remember). It was easy to use, and nicely templated so it was easy to edit. Blog systems aren't really *just* for posting Internet diaries. I helped him get it installed and running, and really have to say... the blog system works well for review sites.
Alternatively, you can use a web forum like vBulletin (or phpBB).
A local police union hired me to create a website so they could keep in touch with their membership. The front page simply uses vBulletin's RSS feed to list recent additions to specific forums in the messageboard. This works very well, and I'm now doing it for a new client needing an "extranet" for its worldwide distrbutors. I would have searched for a BLOG otherwise, but the idea of running these "front page" posts from a messageboard gave them much more flexibility and options for interaction. Something you may also wish to do.
I created my own script after waiting interminably for vbPortal to release something (
http://www.vbportal.com/ ). There may be other options for turning vBulletin into a publishing system as well.
I'm sure there's a million content management systems out there though. You might also try PHPNuke and PostNuke. I personally hate these "all-in-ones", because they feel very confining and "boxy" to me (influencing the websites that use it to all look very similar).
