i dont usually post news stories here but i think this one is pretty important to take note of and digest... :)

what are YOUR thoughts?

on the SF Gate, it has already received more than 500 comments over past few days... as well as countless other discussions on the web

crazy stuff... never seem to amaze me all this bogus lawsuits in the US

In a case that could chill free speech online, a San Francisco chiropractor has sued a local artist over negative reviews published on Yelp, the popular Web site that rates businesses.

I guess chiropractor do not want to run his business any more.
He win - He will lose future business.
He lose - He will lose future business.
Strange, but, people tend to side with patient no matter who is right.

Did the chiropractor not touch him enough? This is what happens with gay men....

I guess i'm taking the story a little different.

funny, this is not a case where bad publicity is good publicity. This case is going to get thrown out of court.

i am pretty sure the chiropractor needs this removed to prevent any future malpractice suites that may come for him. This post would be used as evidence for such thing, as would the author of the comments. If he was ever sued, and or in trouble with the government or medical and insurance board.

He also gave credence to claim by disputing it with a passion. Generally if something is false, you can care less what some random person is saying.

In business you can not make 100% of everyone happy. some people are just never happy, part of doing business.

If a food critic gives a restaurant a bad review do they get sued?

What about the Maltin minute (that movie critic)? If they trash a lame flick does the studio sue?

-------------

However, allegations of insurance fraud are not taken lightly.

Typically this will automatically initiate an audit.

That can be very time consuming and costly to the Clinic being accused.

I know I am not the smartest turnip on the truck but where was there any mention of "gay men" in the article?

What was the actual review?

"The Chiropractor's Sandalwood Oil Dice Roll felt more like a Brooklyn Steamroller, and I ended up with a bruised kidney and a chipped tooth. Save your money folks, not recommended." :D
