didn't the sales archive used to update in real time? do we have to scroll through the ticker to find out how much auctions closed for until they show up there?

Hi guys,

I'm brand new on DNforum and brand new with Bido, where my first auction starts next week (2/22/10 at 11:59 EST). The domain name is QuickSniper.com. It's a no-reserve auction starting at $28. Details at http://www.bido.com/Auction?name=quicksniper.com . In Bido's marketing video, they mentioned DNforum as a place to consider promoting the auction. Any suggestions on where or how to best do that (on DNforum)? Any comments on selling on Bido vs. Sedo vs. DNforum? I'm want to sell/auction about 100 names in 2010.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the info Mediahound, any reason for the change? I liked being able to sort and search completed auctions as soon as they ended, instead of "scrubbing" through
Chris,
you can promote your bido auction by posting a link in the external auctions section located here: http://www.dnforum.com/f178/

For the most part, nothing changed. We always had a page that was updated when you load it (/SalesArchive), and we also have another area that updates automatically ( /RecentSales )
Having said that, make sure that you are logged into your account.
I do know of a small issue affecting some guests who are not logged in and who view the /SalesArchive page and the fix is being applied shortly. If you are not logged in, there is a delay, and its being fixed.
So if you are at /SalesArchive please make sure you are logged in and it will be updated in real time each time you visit the page.
We plan to make further improvements as far as the ability to have the page inform you when there are new items and that the list you are viewing should be refreshed. Sort of like viewing trending info on Twitter, it lets you know how many new items are there since you started viewing the page. Something like that will come to /SalesArchive in time.
Anyway, for now, please just try /RecentSales if you want to leave the page open and have it update automatically.
Regards,
Jarred
