You hear of the first exoplanet discovered out of the Milky Way in a galaxy called "Messier 51" and do a whois on the .com (of course, taken already).

.net and .org are available though!

For all those into astrology or education as a niche, the .org is very fitting for this domain. Put up a quick minisite with education/information on the site and update it as news about the planet comes out. :)

I know I'm a bit behind on the news cycle. Just funny that it was registered the same day it was found.

.info would fit for development
Ah, yes. That would work as well.

Made me recall Spain.info ranking quite high for the search term, but also questioning how much it took to get it there...

Either rate, both the .org and .info are available. I haven't a clue about outer space nor does it interest me. But if someone out there does, and can write some really informative articles on what's going on, it can surely rank for the term. The site could possibly be a CPC winner or even a great Amazon affiliate site that gateways you through telescope ads/reviews too.

I don't know how it would fair as an investment unless one were to put time into developing it though.

You think of everything as;

1. Available
2. Not Available
3. It's for Sale!
4. That is a good price.
5. I'm not paying that much.

Three things at the top of my head.

You know you're a domainer when...

... you start calculating your time invested too along with the money invested and stop looking for quick flips.
... you start researching extensively before buying domains and assess the potential of several domains before settling on the best.
... your domaining side hustle becomes a big part of your investments and income.

And yes "when you start seeing domains in everything - news, conversations, videos, etc!" :D

You spend more time searching on ExpiredDomains.net then Google! 😁
