Let's don't talk about .cc, .ws, .tv, .fm...

If you are appointed as the registrar to market one ccTLD as a generic TLD like .cc, which one will you pick from below, and why? :)

.us, but hey, I'm just another American.

As for .eu... last time I checked the European Union wasn't an actual country. To insist that it is and that it deserves it's own cctld is ludicrous, that is unless each state in the United States or province in Canada was to get it's own cctld. Or if each member of the EU gave up it's cctld for .eu, then I'd understand.

The question is something like this: what are you, German/Italian/whatever or European Unionish?

How's that for a rant? :) No offense of course.

Awwww that's too easy. It would have to be .gg

Why?: Well, since beauty.cc was sold for $1 million, for the life of me I can't see why the similar-sounding beauty.gg can't match or even surpass that figure! That would really get the ball rolling with .gg sales and be so nice for the .gg bank account.

And I don't want to see any flames saying beauty.cc wasn't really a wholesome, above board, really honest to goodness $1 million sale. That's because GreatDomains said it was.

So there!

I'm European just like you're American (or whatever). And the EU isn't a country, but it's getting close.

How about .ap for Asia Pacific?
It truly exists but not many know.

I saw it once but forgot the URL.

1) .de
2) .uk
3) .us

those would be my top 3 in order of preference.

my mistake, i read it meaning to operate a registry - not to operate a fake gtld.

for fake gtld's, .tm and .id are the 2 that stand out to me for obvious reasons.

If I include dot com here, it will be definitely the top choice. :)
This post will become meaningless.

Anyone who seriously invests in domain names knows the last thing you want to see is another generic TLD.
