you can keep your .io
they are basically "wanna be" .com names that folks are buying,
but soon as a company gets enough dough, they try to get the .com
so, to me, it's just a stepping stone to get to the king
Hi,
IMO .io is good for sales in present days as per market data. It can take the "2nd best" position among extensions as demand of .Net fading away gradually. But to catch the place, I think, '.co' is also a strong contender.
But atleast for recent future, as @Biggie says, .io is a way to a brand value by taking a nice name. At some point, if it can arrange enough fund, .com is the ultimate destination.
They are a great investment when you get commercial one word .io most importantly technology-related .io
I am seeing .io sales happening on brandable marketplaces like BB and SH but as @Biggie said, once the company get enough funds they don't think twice to switch on .COM
Recently clubhouse.io acquired Shortcut.com and they are moving to Shortcut.com next month.
