You HAVE to try these:

Negra Modelo (Mexican)
Lowenbrau (German)
Okocim (Polish)

Not the only great beers. But these are some of the best I've tried in a long time.

ohhh yea. Negra Modelo is nice, but a little too bitter for me. My mother's favorite

Japan seems to be crazy for Corona and are willing to forkout $700 for it. I dont know why. Corona seems to be one of the worst.

Theres this beer south of de border called corona with a lime wedge...great drink with a platter of steamed shrimp and clams.

Agree! Corona is clearly the beer of choice, at least here in the states. We go to many parties and make it a point to bring a 12 pack of Corona Extra or Light, the coolers at the party are usually filled with other beers, Sam Adams, Heineken, Dos XX, Guinness, Bud etc. then something odd happens; once others see you with a Corona in your hand, they flock to the ice cooler and the 12 pack you just brought is gone in less than 10 minutes, happens EVERY time while the others stay on ice.

Try it sometime ;)

Most likely the best beer in the USA, would be from the oldest brewery, I lived right across the street from it before. And now live only a few blocks from it, they still make it the old fashion way. They could sell tons more of it, but they will not cheaping it to do that.......

I never drink any of it, the smell always coming from the brewery, turned me off to it with out trying it ever. But most people that drink it love it, my dad said he never got sick from it like bud, or coors beer made him.

Then its agreed...

We all need to get together and travel the globe taking in the great beers of the world.

When we are done with that, we can start on the wines.

i think i agree with the guy who said belgian beer is the best. Belgium has the most micro-breweries per capita of anyplace in the world, so i wouldnt be suprised if there are beers i've never heard of that are even better than what they export.

i also like framboise, though its expensive so i rarely drink it. but as an alternative a good berry wheat will do (yeah i like berry-wheat, no shame here :) someone recently mentioned Purple Haze which is an excellent excellent berry-wheat)

an ice cold Heineken on a hot summer day is good too. or being holed up in a hole in the wall bar on a cold winters day with a thick pint of Guiness.

Le Fin Du Monde ... Tooheys New ... Crown ... Miller High Life (the champagne of beers! :) ) ... Rolling Rock .. and last but not least .. Pabst Blue Ribbon!

How many people here are a alcoholic, I'm a recovering one and have not drink in close to 11 years now.

When my 10 year old girl was born, they handed me her before taking her off. Because she was a preme, and I was looking down at her as she open her eyes, for the very first time and she was looking into my eyes. For me it was close to looking at her soul, and every time I had anything after that, that would normally make me want to drink.

All the bad things I done while drinking popped into my head instead, and how I did not ever want my child. To be ashamed of me, and that kept me from drinking every time. Funny how I hit bottom many times before, but just that one moment in time, we was looking into each others eyes. Changed my thinking just like that, all the AA meets, treatment and pain didn't do that before. :)

Years ago, we were visiting my wife's grandfather in PA, and he had cases of that stuff. It was good, but had a very different aftertaste.

If anyone likes Killian's, there's a brewery in AZ that makes a beer called Kiltlifter that's pretty darn good.

Bud Select makes a good beer pong beer, since it goes down like water and is lo carb, so even health conscious college people can play a ton of games without feeling guilty.

America is known to have the best of a few things, but beer isn't one of them! LOL

I tend to agree, as much as I LOVE American made products, I hate the beer they produce, advertise "Real Men of Genius" all you want too, I'm not buying it.

Another good beer is San Miguel ;)

#1 on that list is actually brewed in the city I'm from. Funny, because I ate at their restaurant, Firestone Grill, tonight for dinner.
