I recently set up a 404.shtml chmod 646 web page to catch 404 not found web pages. The strange thing is that it works with browsers aside from Microsoft Explorer. Does anyone have an explanation, or way with dealing with this.

In this situation, I believe the page needs to be over 11k to be displayed by IE. Try padding it out.

Thanks for the advice. Is there any logical reason for this, i.e, does IE not show any pages with less than 11k, since they are usually blank.

Don't know why, but I remember having the issue once and that was the answer I found on google.
