Do you think that MSN and Yahoo might be trademarks?

How do you know that those get type-ins?

If the full domain, with the '.com' shows results on overture it probably gets type-ins. Look at the names you listed, how many people type into a search engine with a (-) hyphen?
Probably zero.

.....its like an 18 month long car wreck..

27 a day
not bad must be worth $50 each

I can't yet tell when ppl. on this forum are serious or joking.

Do you think those domains with a hyphen get type-ins?

How do you figure 27 t-i's a day = $50?

thanks

msnemail 384
msn email 138
msn-email 138

the results your getting are most likley the 2nd and result in dns error on most browsers.

hypen typein are usually people who know the site already or have in favorites or other aberant issues not to say no typein but very few

i have found very few hyphen results that are actual typein and with the number mirroring the non hypenated i suspect this is not one

overture is tricky and should only be used to qualify for continued research on a name

just my opinion

If you did reg those I bet that Yahoo would be all over you like a bear on honey in a heart beat.

How long have you had that domain tommys-bookmarks.net?
Maybe the type-ins are just domain speculators checking out the name.
See if you still get type-ins after a month. -?

Agree with the above two posts. But have doubts.

tommys-bookmarks.com 41047
tommysbookmarks.com 5861

My qpuuzle site gets 2,3 hits a day a week ago, ever since I redirect game-yahoo.com to it, plus few other similar domains, I get 100 hits a day. It really works. I know yaho.com gets at least 35000 hits a day every day.

check the results for tommys and bookmarks stand alone and see if they match any of the results
domain domain.com is an overture result i dont know how to interpert usually its the result for one of the words alone
if you find none match the hypeeated term you may then have a real typein

out of a few thousand doamins i only have found one

find-hotel.com
gets typin

but not a ton

try free-sex.com, free-porn.com

Sure some - gets typeins.

But it's so hard to find any typeins nowdays, I guase any thing has few typeins mostly have been picked up.

I don't think msn etc big corps will care a domain contains msn but has little value, like zonemsn.com etc. That domain was in use for a while never get any problem from msn, I believe so.

Joe is right he may be getting some tommys-bookmarks.net type-ins. This is why I think he does:

tommys-bookmarks.xxx are (soft?) port sites I believe. "Tommys-bookmarks" i found out (from the numerous keyword searches) is an established source for this type of entertainment. It is hard to remember which site has the best porn (with/out hyphen; with/out the 's, .com .net ,etc) and most people avoid bookmarking porn sites esp. on their machine at work ;-) . So they probably try different combinations in their browser window (or search engine for that matter) since these satelite sites have sprouted and provide the same type content, thus is hard to know or remember which "Tommy" started it all.

I am be way off, cause I have not researched these sites err deeply. SPeculator's hunch. But Joe is probably right about a modest number of type-ins.

the problem is even if it gets 2 hits per day, how can you make profit fom it with that kind of traffic?

Do you enjoy registering other peoples Domains? Its this kind of stuff that gives all resellers a bad name.

Ok, so how many (out of ten) type in the dot-extension when performing a search engine query? Not many. People, all different in nature, are looking for 'new'. Always wanting to see what is coming out, came out, and what is out there in 'Cyberville'. So I think that , IMHO, Overture suggestions are pretty shitty. If you type in, e.g., 'movie review' in Overture, roughly 151,344 searches were done.

Go ahead...try to brand the moviereview.com---It belongs to Yahoo.

My point; I do not believe that the accuracy of 'suggestion tools', in their many forms, are being held high since most people that are buying names do it from a 'relevant to industry' point of view.

First of all these stats are for 1.5 day (see above) so your UNIQUE hosts served (or visits) are ~185 per day.

It looks like the total hits (inlcuding reloads and returns) are 210 per day --that's from the report directly. So, there are about 25 returns a day (of course this may include Joe checking his own site after changing it etc).

DOes anyone know what the "corrupt login files" means?

Thx
