Hi guys,
One of my premium LLL.mobi got an inquiry weeks ago and I countered xxxxx range since I thought s/he might just be another domainer and I'm not willing to sell cheap. So today I received an adjusted offer of 9xxx.
Please tell me how I should respond, should I raise it to 10000 to at least cover the escrow fee and or should I be more greedy.:undecided:
Please and thanks.

If the deal falls through, will you regret? if not, then counter offer.
If you regret, then accept it.

Great way to look at it, but then again, you paid $20 for the domain. I always watch the television shows on TV such as "Deal or No Deal". etc. These people are up to $150,000 and greed gets the best of them, then they end up losing it all. Even though they went on the show with nothing, they felt they deserved more than $150,000. Don't be the idiot. Take the deal.

9k is a nice offer for a LLL .mobi. We'd have to know the name to really say, but if it's not something like sex.mobi or car.mobi, and just a random string of letters, then it's probably a very fair offer.

There was this hero guy on Deal or No Deal the other night, he turned down 300,000 with three cases left, one case held a Million, the other two were 10,000 and 25 I think. Well, sure enough the next he picked was the Million. He turned down the 5k offer and ended up with the $25 case. Luckily, they gave him a new car at the end of the show, but now he has to live with turning down 300,000. Imagine the henpecking he must get from his wife now.

No it is just random acronym with premium letters, not dictionary word.
Thanks people, I think you guys are right. I will take the offer. But I will disclose the name when things go through.

Thanks guys. I am reading every post of this thread. But I'll refrain from posting anything until the transaction goes through. It is under escrow now and I will disclose the name, final price along with my thoughts when the dusts settle.
Thank you again for all the opinions. If you have any additional thought feel free to share. I think this is also a good live demonstration for the newcomers.

if this is premium combination - not dict. word or very meaningful combination - 9XXX is v. good offer at the present moment.

I eager to see what the name is. 9k for a "random" LLL.mobi is very, very good. Good luck and I hope the deal goes through fine for you.

Update:

The sale is complete, L G D dot mobi has been sold for US$ 10,000. I also notified DNJournal. This is a great news for LLL.mobi holders since AFAIK this is the highest sale for a non-dictionary LLL.mobi

Thank you guys for all the advices. Yes, I counter-offered $10k and the buyer paid the escrow fee since I was almost confident $1175 is not that much on top of his $9000 offer. Anyhow I am lucky considering this was a hand reg last year.

Congratulations! I think it was a very good decision to counter and sell for that price. Very good sale indeed.
