Actually, the exact term in french is written "française". With "Ç".

The masculine form (français) would translate as franca.is (Icelandic TLD).
But this is not a hack, franca.is is a company

IMHO, domain hacks are worthless in general. Some are better than others but this one isn't great.
Note that française is feminine of français.
