hey donny what the message was what u wrote... did u found about what he is speaking with his family ;-)

Nope, it was just a joke. Since he said he contacted "family members and their friends to browse and click their Parked webpage".

It still amazes me, because even when I sit my mom or somebody I am related to in front of a computer and tell them what we do, the give me this puzzled look, like "what do you really do?" Finally after a few minutes, I tell them we sell porn online and they are like, cool! Can I get any passwords?

So that is why I did the mom joke. She still uses AOL, so domain parking is not in her vocabulary.

I was both amused and outraged when I first read the letter. But it's really kind of sad. These guys thought they had found a goldmine and they just figured this was how it was done. Truth is, there is little chance any of their domains have real traffic or value.

Too bad Boss Man Donny, for a brief time you were probably revered as a hero in some asian communities. Now you may want to plan your trips to China very carefully.

Darn - i knew i do something wrong with this parking thingy - and now after only 5 short years waiting for people to go to my sites i find out how this really works .

( just kidding )

all joking aside - it is shocking , that people really thing that is how domain parking works .
(and also wondering how many of these " domainers " are really out there...)

an interesting read on online game virtual gold farmers:

maybe our threadstarter and some others were doing this previously, or at least the mentality is there..

"there are well over 100,000 young people working in China as full-time gamers, toiling away in dark Internet cafes, abandoned warehouses, small offices and private homes.

Most of the players here actually make less than a quarter an hour, ..."

Earning just 25c an hour must make clicking on PPC adds look very attractive to the Boss Man and the worker!

Amazing that people could think that getting others to click adds was the correct way to park domains!

Some serious education needs to happen here...if these 100,000 young people spent 5 minutes an hour randomly clicking PPC adds it could break the whole industry....

Donny you might need to put more effort into blocking IP's from China, if you already havent.
