ab cramps ?

Hi... Anyone ever have an abdominal muscle cramp ? I was tying my shoe and Wham my left abs seized up like a tight fist, sorta like a leg cramp but worse. After 10 mins of remaining still it went away.

Does this signify anything of importance ? thanks

Drink chamomile tea it works for me. I get this really sharp pain in my abdominal region about once every year or so, to the point where I can't even walk.

It could be random due to the position you assumed, but it can be an indication of some underlying condition. As GeorgeK said, see a doctor about it.

If it was LOW and left thats muscular most likely...if it was higher I would be concerned it was potentially heart related...from the way it sounds you had a bad muscle cramp/spasm with most likely is due to being dehydrated, having low potassium intake, or just sitting or moving the wrong way...this same exact thing happens to me in my car when I have the seat leaning back too far and I'm driving...the muscles in your abdomen basically support most of the weight of your upper body as it turns and moves so this is surely not an uncommon thing to happen, if it continues definitely smoke some weed and call me in the morning! k:
