Due to a career change I must sell an active poker website and active forum. I do not have the time to moderate the forum any longer.

The website is www.ace10.com and the forum is at www.ace10.com/forum

If you are interested in purchasing the website there is an auction in progress in the "Let's Hear it Here" section of the forum.

You can see the website at www.ace10.com and the place to make an offer on the website is at http://www.ace10.com/forum/index.php?topic=1643.0

Auction will end exactly at 12:00 Noon EST on September 30th.

Cheers,

Addtionally let me lay out some facts (and opinions) for you so any bidder understands some basics about developing a gambling website.

1. Forum requires no maintenance. Just a ton of time to moderate the posts and promote. I don’t have the time to do that. Be forewarned that to be successful you have to plan on a lot of time spent on the forum moderating fights, posts by spammers, and promotion.

2. It doesn’t make a dime right now. Well, hardly anything. The business model for poker websites demands that you invest time and energy into creating tournaments on poker websites. You put up some payout like $100 and then you hold free rolls at like poker stars to something. Poker Stars and other poker sites will set them up for you. YOU will need to play poker a lot. That will cost you money. It can (maybe) be a tax deduction if you have an accountant who understands internet commerce.

3. The free roll tournaments may net you 500 new forum members for each tournament. I have never done this. I built this website for my enjoyment and for my poker buddies. Guys like Halvey18 and others have given me a ton of shit for not making it grow fast. But I wanted it to grow with top notch players and not freerollers.

4. The reason it is worth money, and people know it, is that it is already spidered by Google and Yahoo. That sometimes doesn’t happen for months, years and sometimes NEVER. To verify this go to www.google.com or www.yahoo.com and put ace10 (with no spaces) in the search window.

5. The website has a very compact and memory friendly domain name. ACE10.COM Try and find a domain name that is easy to remember, poker related and is a top level domain name ( A dot .com name and not .net or .biz) Go to www.nameboy.com and just try to find a good name! A 5 letter domain name that is on target is just not available any longer. Go look!

Incidentally, I have a couple of other domains for sale. www.ProHeadquarters.com and www.IdeaHotline.com and if you want either of those email me.

6. I have spent a lot of time and energy on the look and feel of the website graphics and building the forum. To have a website built like this would cost at a minmum $2K.

7. I have not promoted it other than word of mouth while playing poker.

8. Once you have a ton of members you can direct them to sign up with poker sites and make affiliate money. For instance on Poker Host I make 5% of any money they play in a hand. If rakes add up to $1,000 I make $50 on that person. If a person plays a lot you can make a ton of money. Now imagine you have 10 affiliate programs from different casinos and you have just 5 player on each who are poker addicts. 5 players x 10 casinos x $50 for a time period = $2,500 That is the secret to success. As your affiliates list grows and your cut grows it starts to snowball at some point.

9. I own another website that I have already done this on. I make about $1,500 of affiliate money every 2 weeks on this site. My current total paid to me is $125k. BUT it is a long time established site. That site doesn’t need to be developed further. DO NOT infer that this website you are bidding on will do that well. There is no way in hell I will show you that site. I do not want anyone to copy my work on that site. I have shown a few people here my payout histories on that site. If they want to say I am not lying that is ok. But if they tell what the site is I am going to be pissed. Affilliate programs if done right are very lucrative. If you want me to help you grow after the sale you will need to pay me an hourly consultation rate. DO NOT ASSUME I AM GOING TO HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL FOR FREE JUST BECAUSE YOU BOUGHT MY SITE. My hourly charges on my main business website of www.lucky-puppy.com are $60 for consultation.

10. Why if my other site is so good am I selling this one? I am 56, I am sick and tired of being on the PC and I want to goof off. I make enough money to do that. Plus there are some family issues going on. When I am on the PC 24/7 I am not available to be a real human being.

11. Lastly I suck at poker. I used to think I was good. I am terrible. Just ask anyone.
