I considered that as well. No telling. Sometimes we jump to conclusions. Just have to wait and see what develops.

Perhaps G, being the only thing left dropped the percentage they pay us because they know they have a monopoly? Not that us mere mortals will ever know.

You nailed it.

It is unbelievable that Yahoo can not make it work.
Shame on them..

The only thing that is remaining is them going out of business..
with $35.00 per domain registration, they proved what they are and with pulling YPN they are just a joke.

Technically Yahoo didn't close their publisher network, they sort of folded it into Microsoft pubCenter.

hmmmm.....if that is the case why will the YPN ads stop working and Microsoft has not contacted anyone to convert them over with less than 2 weeks to go?

On par with last month which was so-so.

The CTR is higher than last month's (by about 1.5 percentage points) but the CPM is down about 25% from last month.

Oddly enough, the impressions are down about 50% from this point last month.

hmmmm.....wow, 50% is a huge variation. Something must be wrong because traffic should not vary that much since it is more or less stable on average on the web and with most sites.

With that said, not really surprising assuming your traffic relies mostly on SEO, links and search engine visitors which can vary a lot from month to month. All the more reason to try and achieve natural traffic targeted keyword domains which get consistent traffic with less weight on how well the search rankings, link traffic, or the SEO is doing from month to month.

North Carolina, Rhode Island, and a few other states wanted Amazon to treat us as employees (contractors) and withhold State Income tax from our earnings. Amazon refused - they were not going to act as a book-keeper for the state of NC, withhold state income tax, and file it with the state on our behalf.

Rather than abide by what the state insisted Amazon do, Amazon dropped all affiliates in the state of NC, RI, and other states who tried to impose this withholding.

It sucks but I do not blame Amazon at all.

I claim my income just like I claim my deductions. The state of NC would not have made an extra penny on me because that income from Amazon was always claimed and adjusted and taxes appropriately.

Damn. I was not aware Overstock had an affiliate program. I've been shopping there for years.

Sierra Trading Post is another that dropped NC.

All of this has made it a little bit of an "unknown" factor when signing up for affiliate programs. I gave CJ and Linkshare the heave-ho a few years ago. Just a waste of space on my sites.

one of my site had 4,000 impressions and made two dollars, and which means even HALF PENNY per click.

Just had the worst Saturday in the past two years. CTR and EPC were pathetic.

I've seen 50% drops in revenue in April with similar traffic. I'm seeing more clicks not being counted in addition to a slight drop in ppc.

I am on par with March which wasn't that bad.

But the numbers are so sporadic.

One day it is pennies and the next it is double digits.
