Hi!

BuyDomains.com have a domain listen for sale that I want. It's really overpriced but I would really like it since I have the .com version.

So, this particular .net domain is for sale at BuyDomains for a bit more than $1000.

On Afternic, it says minimum offer: $700..

If I go ahead and make a $700 offer, is there a risk they will screw me over and raise the price above the original ~$1000 ?

I wont buy the domain for more than $700..

Any advice?

Thanks!!

Well than just bid $700 and if they rise the price do not accept it. They can not "screw" you.

Maybe you can lookup the domain's whois information and contact the owner of the domain directly to make him an offer... ?

Contact them and ask what's the best price they can do on the domain. It might take a week or more for them to reply, they're so slow in my experience. If you don't like the first answer they give you, wait a few weeks and try again.

Hi!

Thanks a lot for your input!

I had mail problems so I never noticed your responses until now..

Anyway, what I was afraid of is that they will raise the price once they see that I'm interested.

Also, what are the odds that they'll let the domain expire?

Thanks!!

You could benefit by someone else buying the name and the value of your .com could grow considerably as a direct result of it being developed. Do you really need the .net?

if you have the .com

is it matters to you to have

.net

also

if so bid just what you could afford without even thought of the higher asking

offer

cauz the seller needs more & the buyer needs less

& both of them of themselfs don't know the other part could afford to what?!
