Afternic don't care about their own rules

Shouldn't the domain owner "owe" Afternic the auction/escrow fees for the sale that their site produced but the seller failed to complete?

In few words, they are saying that Afternic rules are worth nothing? The membership agreement is worth nothing?

Heh, there's no way anyone's going to get them to say or agree with that. If
anything, at least Adam from Afternic responded and agreed with you on few
points.

Kind of similar to the bhartzer-SnapNames-Moniker error thread, Afternic's got
this term in their agreement:

Good thing they did notify, though. It won't help anyone if no one's notified of
such.

Between spending maybe 4-5 figures maintaining their services monthly or so,
and possibly five or more pursuing legal action against someone who seems to
be outside your respective jurisdictions, which is more practical? Sure it's the
principle behind it, but Afternic will decide on their own what principles wil be
guiding their subsequent decisions and actions.

Actually if some will look further back, there will be a few examples of this sort
of thing. It's not acceptable for many people, but...it's happened.

If anything, like I said, at least Adam from Afternic agreed you should get the
domain name. It's one thing to believe, it's another to turn that belief into full
blown action.

And it's fine not to believe whatever's said. Unfortunately this thing can really
happen with any other provider.

Mistakes happen. Sometimes what's more important is how it's dealt with.

I personally would get a good lawyer, like John on here,to issue a small application in
a relevant Court seeking that Afternic disclose all documents related to the domain,
revenue etc etc. I know that type of application can be made in UK High Court
but USA I am not sure but I think so.

THEN you will know whether Afternic were telling you BS.

I think Afternic should not have sent the added info in the email. The email makes it likely that the company is taking the side of the sellers withdraw, you might have a case against Afternic.
