Hello stuff.

I found the following information which means that the domain was in pendingdelete status, as far as I understand.

Is it not the case that once a domain hits this status it can no longer be redeemed, and control is out of the hands of the registrars?

wyatterp.com
whois.ascio.com
PENDINGDELETE
2003-03-04
2000-01-06
2003-01-06
NS1.ACTARG.COM
NS1.USWEST.NET

Note, 2003-03-04 is the date the domain went on pendingdelete,.

200-01-06 should be the creation date

and 2003-01-06 the expiry date.

If I have got anything wrong here, please point this out. Thanks.

(edited for typos etc)

If the domain is recovered during redemption period - then its
registry record shows original creation date.

I noticed that one of domains I sold last year was not renewed, redemption period strated and I was going to reg it again LOL :)
However the owner recovered it and registry creation date is 2001 year now, expiration 2004.

So this domain was catched by the order of NameWinner.

Mark Mitford! Tell your word...

Hello

This is what I did got from customer support today:

"Also, as far as the WYATTERP.COM domain, I spoke with the project manager for Namewinner and he agrees with you that the domain did drop in the midst of being transferred to Dotster, but stayed in our transfer program and with the original registrant. We would like to offer you your choice of two other, more valuable domains in exchange for not having grabbed WYATTERP.COM for you:"

.........COM ---> had bid $2500
.........COM --- >had bid $680

That's interesting.

They got golfprostore.com for me a long time ago, then left it in limbo and failed to put my name in the WHOIS data, then deleted it and someone else grabbed it.

They never offered ME another name in reparation. :^(

I read somewhere that some registrars allow under technical deficiencies transfers after expiration date.

So does that mean they will give you a domain that *someone else* has the high bid on,i.e. are they doing exactly what you were blaming them (giving the name to someone else than the high bidder) just this time the other way around but now it's fine cuz it's in *your* favour ?
Double standards i hear you knockin..
I'm not saying NW has done this or that cuz i dunno, just saying you cannot accuse them of doing something if it's not in your favor but if it in fact *is* in your favor ( but same practice) then suddenly it's ok.

Maybe these were names that were bid on and the person didn't pay.

I'm sure NameWinner wouldn't sell off names that had been won by someone else unless the person didn't pay for them.

Congats, Lucky "exception" :)

Anyway, I think that NameWinner should give the highest priority to the second bidder.

I contact them about what happens if the highest bidder doesn't pay. They told that they never had problems but if they had they would auction the name cause there are some legal issues about contacting the second bidder.
