Okay I am not happy with a current domain sale. I posted a domain package for sale on different forums. Someone messaged me with an offer and we ended up working out a price. Okay even after they want me to push my domains before payment, and pming me on different forums to verify who I am and more run around time the money is sent for the domains. I push the domains and then I get serveral more pms saying they bought the wrong domain.

They thought the domain was spelled differently than it actually is.

Now while I am not a person of conflict and I try to be easy to work with I do not feel this is my fault. They demanded a refund and said they was not going to accept the domains. I told them I would get back to them shortly and was thinking of refunding them and then I see the email pop up with a paypal reversal.

More than likely I would have refunded this person if they had not come across as what I consider rude. They make it seem as though its my fault that they didn't read the domain correctly and then ordered me to do a refund ASAP because their time is money.

I was approached with the offer, took time out of my schedule to "prove who I am" and for the small amount of $100.00 sale it was a huge waste of my time.

For someone who appears to be an active seller and buyer on different forums I expected more from them.

What would you have done in this situation? he says if I refund then he will close the reverse thing. I don't think I will refund now.

Reverse and forget it.

Or keep the money.

He rushed to buy it, not reading what the domain was.
He rushed to reverse the sale, not waiting for your response.
Apparently he needs a negative feedback to slow down.

ask yourself... is it worth it?

sure there's always the principle, but i don't have time for games.

if you still got the name, then give them their money and move on

imo

well i dont think he accept the domains but he will end up getting his money back regardless of whether I refund or if it goes through the process of paypal. He did the "not received my item" so of course they are going to decide in his favor.

Just a pain.

Many folks are ignorant, immature, thoughtless & simply don't understand "business." The more transactions you do, the more likelihood you'll encounter these types. The best way to handle this is to acknowledge "that's life" and move on. And post their username. :)

chump change. Forget it...too much negative energy spent. These things happen once in a while. I once inquired about a domain where the o was really a zero...thus making a LLL.ca a bargain...It would have been a huge mistake on my part...The owner really slammed me for being so stupid...on this forum...I just let it slide.. You will sell it again for more money :)

I refunded him just because he would have gotten his money back either way, but its the first and last time I will deal with him.

Name and shame; there is too much of this crap going on. This time it was only a $100, but next time, what....?

What an idiot & a jerk. Just between us, who is it?

I'm having trouble right now getting payment for a name I transfered over on June 1. I already gave him the name and now he won't pay. Not a member here though - an end-user. Business sucks sometimes.

Melissa,

Life is short. Move on and move on quickly.

There is much business to be done, and the internet is young.

Rule #1 - only push domain once you have payment

Pinkmisfit, you did the right thing. Just move on...and don't ever do business with the person.

Good girl, you did the right thing. It's better to refund the fool that couldn't read and move on.

Word of advice; Never ever push domains before receiving payment, And if your going to use Paypal, understand that your using it at your own risk.

Now get some payback and tell us who it is. ;)

his paypal claim says that he thought he was buying one name and was actually another. And he says that I knew it was wrong becasue of the pms that we had. I did copy and paste the domain straight from the pm as had posted it to put a price next to it but I didnt notice he had it mispelled, but regardless the name on the sale forum is exactly how its supposed to be.

As I stated earlier I would have probally ended up refunding it was just the point of serveral emails demanding a refund and basically placing the blame on me for his misunderstanding.

I am sorry that it turned out this way because while I may not do a ton of sales I want them to go smoothly on both parts.
