Shape the future of the Internet: Apply to join the Canadian Internet Registration Authority’s (CIRA) Nomination Committee.

The Nomination Committee plays a critical role in soliciting and selecting qualified Candidates for the Nomination Committee Slate of CIRA’s Board of Directors Election. Its focus is to help build a Board of Directors that represents a wide range of views and interests, ultimately contribute to the strategic direction of .CA and Canadian Internet policy.

Being a Member of CIRA’s Nomination Committee provides you with the opportunity to:

-Serve a two-year term with the objective of building a Member-elected Board of Directors that represents a wide range of views.

-Make a valuable contribution to the strategic direction of .CA and Canadian Internet policy.

-Network and learn from professionals from across Canada.

-Gain valuable insight and experience around technical innovation, Internet policy and organizational governance.

-Select candidates at a meeting in Ottawa. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

CIRA’s Board of Directors will review all applications and select the new Nomination Committee Members in February/March 2011. Selected applicants will be contacted directly.

hahaha - yeah let's work something out...I'm sure we can work this into a Parliamentary position also
