That is my point exactly.
Domainers trying to make a point of comparison but those same domainers want to keep certain extensions or words out of those comparisons.
What you claim as relevant to you and many others is totally irrelevant (as well as irrational) to me.
Hockey.net or Hockey.ca
Which is more valuable? Which is relevant? Which is irrelevant? Which would have a bigger audience? In how many countries is Hockey their national sport?
To make a claim that .net is a totally irrelevant gTLD is hogwash.
