Tube domains are doing very well and recently

freeporntube.com sold over $30,000

It shows people are obsessed about TUBE domains.

What are your thoughts?

Tube are also very common names for the subways and Chunnel in England.

Have also seen those domains do very well for the posting of time schedules, routes etc.

But, it looks like you knew that being in the UK, I presume.

I've recently received some low x,xxx offers on my domains GenerationTube.com and AwardTube.com.
It's full of people try to open new video-sharing websites these days.

been a lot of sales past few years. everyone knows what 'tube' means, i guess in some ways you have a lot of free advertising ahead of you.

i must admit i prefer 'my' style sites if we're talking bandwagon domains lol ;)

btw, www.StatesTube.com is For Sale :eek:k:

"Obsession" - I don't buy it.

As a matter of test, I own 2 good geo tube names which can be used for great travel or country specific portal. I can offer it for 2k for both and I'd like to see how far obsessed a buyer is.

germanytube.com
italytube.com

When a name sells for 30k, $100k or even 500k, we always talk big on how valuable domain investments are. How they will rise in value. Congratulatory acceptances to the seller.

I am saying this because I had offered these 2 names at a forum from $100 bids. No one bit. And this in a community, which would like to think they know domains. No one thought they could make a profit out of it. That's how visionary domainers are.

Sorry, I don't want to sound like I ate sour grapes. I am making an extremely good living selling my names. Just that the domaining community is very hypocrite. And way too fearful.

You can see why most will only put their money in so called safe investmensts as in LLL, LLLL and purchases based on PPC.

There are so many opportunities and a host of domainers are losing out simply because they would only shell out no more than $200 because a worthy name does not produce PPC.

As long as YouTube is one of the top ranked sites in the world, the keyword TUBE and YOU will always be a selling point similar to MYkeyword.com

You got that right, now the question is what will the next "fad" keyword be?

Ha Ha!

I know. But I won't tell.......................

I've just noticed this too.

I'm amazed as many of the geo's are taken as well but hey like they always say, after a hefty goldrush ... a nugget or two can be found.

I love how everyone advertised their names in this topic. lol

But i think if you get any decent offer you should accept
it, because who knows when people will finally wise up and
stop buying them.

I think they are popular because the Internet is not something that you just dump something on. It's not a big truck. It's a series of tubes. And if you don't understand, those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and it's going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material

haha. I got a couple nice tube domains but not sure if i want to sell or develop. Seems expensive to develop due to the bandwidth alone.

Development is very time consuming so what I do is redirect or use forwarding to a CPA offer instead or atleast for the time being.

I have a ***tube.com site that I've been paying A LOT of attention to lately with this whole "fad" in mind. Recently, I've received more than one offer in the $x,xxx to $xx,xxx range. However, a valuation from one of the top online domain sellers appraised the domain name at $1,000? Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any similar experiences?
