Hey guys. So maybe I'm in the minority here, but it seems to me this trade forum has a LOT of potential. We could be helping each other make $$.

Here are a couple examples:
1) There are domainers here who prefer a lot of cheap $2 domains and may be willing to trade a nice keyword domain for a couple hundred of those.

2) We may specialize in different niches. I may have knowledge in gemstones, while you may know law, for example. If I own a legal domain worth approx. the same as a gemstone domain you own, we should trade! Our knowledge in our niches could help us build more lucrative sites. I'm better off. You're better off. It's a pareto efficient trade.

3) Sometimes we just get tired of certain domains, and we can get a fresh start!

So how about it? What are your thoughts? Am I dead wrong? Is money in the short term the only driving force for domainers? I'm curious why this section isn't so lively. Any feedback is appreciated.

I like barter and have done several successful ones. But its hard because people are too-much in love with their domains.
Also it can be weird to see someone drop a domain to $100 or less yet, if you offer a barter, they want a premium.

Post some more, lets try. I look for domains that add to my niches, when doing barters. So they dont necessarily
have to be a great one.

Thanks for the comments Kevin. I agree that people are too in love w/ their domains. I am guilty of this myself. What niches do you specialize in?
