I can see LL.coms going for a minimum of 500k by this time next year, and LLL.coms going for a minimum of $10000+. .coms are becoming super premiums once again..and the shorter names have been increasing exponentially in value.

Funny, but LN.com and NL.com haven't quite caught up with these values. In fact, a LN.com commands less value than a quality LLL.com

The second $500k PUBLIC 2 letter .com sale in the past few months.

There should be some million dollar sales coming soon.
If Greg puts EC.com back up I wouldn't be surprised to it see cruise past $1M.

I was hoping I was the only one who noticed that

Very good news for the future of two letter .com names.

The shareholders at GM, BA and a few others will probably be quite impressed by what they could get for their two letter .com names. ;)

In all seriousness, it was a good sale for the owner(s). I would argue (perhaps some may say selfishly) that the value of these things developed is even better.

AZ = Arizona is by far the most value in terms of use. Most US interenet users that see or type in AZ.com will expect to be going to an Arizona type site.

That's the first connection I made, AZ = Arizona. I think the A to Z reference also makes sense.

Why limit your audience though?

Agreed. I think we have now reached the point where only the top blue-chip companies will be able to afford that kind of acquisition :)

I would have loved to have had Az.com as Azam is my surname and business name, but $500,000 is out of my league.

I sold Azam.com last year for the equivalent of around $80,000 and so use Azam.biz and .info for my websites. Decent sum of money, but I often regret having sold the domain name as obviously the .biz and .info are not as good.

Interesting blurb here about Az.com.

Anybody know who bought it? Current owner being shown as:

" A to Z Networking Services
P.O. Box 5324
Bellingham, WA 98227-5324
US
"

This is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME NEWS for ALL 2 Letter (and 2 character) .COM's!!! :eek:k:
...
There is a reason why they are not allowed to be registered (after drop, of course) unless ICANN itself allows it (for .COM and .NET)!

Just wait...this is just around the corner!

The LL .com & .net are allowed, it's just the LL .org that may not be registered after they drop (if that ever happens of course).

Ha, did not even cross my mind. I was thinking A to Z for something like a directory, business listings, shopping etc.

Like someone else said, probably unless you are from Arizona, you would not even make the connection, which limits your market.

Being from Pennsylvania, PA would catch my eye. Amazing how we can limit our own imaginations.
