Couple of questions, how long has .be been available and whats the likely value of a quality .be name in the future?

I already have an account there. I click search and .be is no where in that list. None of them show up free. Can someone let me know what I am doing wrong?

I don't see any value in the US. Cant beat free names though.

We will have to wait and see if they add it back. Right now they took it off. Maybe b/c in the last couple hours they have registered more than 10k for the .be. Not sure how many EuroDNS has reg'd itself, but I am assuming it is A LOT

Ahem, people in Belgium speak French or Flemish, so I doubt many of the English keyphrases will be very useful to anyone (though 3 letters and 3 numbers never hurt!) - but who cares, I guess, since it's all free. Here's what I scooped up...

dictionnaires.be
habits.be
billetsdavion.be
sportdhiver.be
sportsdhiver.be
signets.be
jeudarcade.be
jeuxdarcarde.be
emploidutemps.be

I think they speak French, Dutch.

dictionnaires.be was a great catch btw :-D

Actually i think it is the .be registry that is having the problem. I have another site that register's .be names and no matter what i put i.e.) asjdsjdsjsdjhhjds.be it says it is taken

hi folks, sorry for switching off the .be names.
we will put the online again as soon the problems are solved. This since this morning (European time), the domains are processed very slow.
On our side everything is fine. We can not reach the registry because it is a day off in Belgium. I will keep you informed!

Thanks for the update Freddy. I will keep an eye on EuroDNS and the other registrar I found as soon as the .be registry wakes up and start reg'ing again

None are working right now

I was trying 101domain.com Just go to google and type in .be registration and you will get a list of the registrars who allow .be registration. I clicked on this one on the right advertisement. Usually those who pay for advertising are better than what comes up with the search results
