We (mods) received ton of PMs everyday asking us to correct your mistakes.

Please take the time to review your post/thread before clicking SUBMIT.
You need to be professional and make sure that you follow the rules and your thread/post contains all the information that a potential buyer may need.

A simple mistake may cost you a sale - We don't mind to make the correction for you but remember we are not online all the time and please report the post when you need help so whoever on line can help you - instead of sending PM.

Check theses items before sending PM "Why my thread is closed"

1. Make sure there is at least one name in the title.
2. Screen shot for traffic name is required in the traffic forum.
3. Illegal bump without additional information
4. Reduction is less than %10
5. List the same name(s) in several forums
6. Re-list the name when there is no response in 7 days

Double check the title as YOU CAN'T edit the tittle after click the Submit button.

For the new-timers and old-timers - Refrain yourself from making comments in sales threads.

Have a great weekend! :)

Usually the second question that follows "Why was my thread closed?" is "Why didn't you just edit it for me?".
The answer to that is multi-faceted.

Besides the obvious answer that the moderators don't have the time to edit each thread that gets closed, there comes the liability situation.
Let's imagine for a moment if the moderators actually did have the time to make these edits.
If the moderator puts the domain in the title on behalf of the seller, the seller could be upset because perhaps he did not want the domain there or say the moderator was unauthorized to make such a change. The seller may be upset that his thread was edited and perhaps is now indexed in the search engines in a format he or she may not have wanted.
This is not a good way for moderators to make friends, and puts them at a risk of being perceived as to doing something immoral.

What about in the case of multiple domains for sale, how does the moderator pick one to use? Regardless of which he picks, its possible the seller again gets upset that the moderator did not use the best domain for the one in the title.

Now lets take an extreme example in the case of a domain broker or a worst case scenario of someone selling a domain unauthorized by the rightful owner. Now the moderator is dragged into a situation where the domain owner is complaining the moderator has aided an unauthorized sale.

The decision to close and/or edit the threads that are not posted according to the guidelines is a "Catch 22" the moderators are faced with that's avoided if the rules are satisfied at the initial time of posting. We have provided this thread as a place for us to share with you what we are faced with as operators of the forum.
We're happy to provide these examples and scenarios so that everyone is more informed as to the way the forum works and to offer a little bit more transparency of what we're faced with.

Please review the rules at the following link and also please, before posting, look for stickies and announcements that are posted sitewide in the respective subforum.
