Fabulous have more security than my bank and free whois privacy
The catch is they don't give everyone a whoesale account

I cannot agree more other than to add their customer service is also top-notch. :eek:k:

I was thinking of using Moniker's high security option, but the help says they *may* phone you if your domain is attempted transferred *outside* of moniker. Doesn't seem worth it.

Funny story why I looked into using Moniker, I logged into my account and Camgirls was missing, and all my domains. Panic! Issued a ticket, still no domains, finally I logged in my domains were back, I was using an old account higher up in my password file!

Isnt fabulous invite only though? Or only for people with hundreds of domains/parked domains? The domains I have that are high value are mostly built into established websites. Is fabulous a actual registrar, or a reseller for someone?

fabulous has an ICANN accredited logo on home page

i just regged some domains there recently

they currently are having a limited time "special registration promo" for .com registrations @ $6.99
(New customers will need to deposit a minimum of $1000 USD to qualify for the discount pricing)

if you're cool enough :) or plan to transfer a lot of domains, contact Mike Fabulous (member here) and maybe he'll hook-you-up with an account.

note: if you use fabulous parking service, then you can have funds deducted from those earnings to register domains held at fab.

this is a money saving "domainer-friendly" feature, imo when you compare the savings of sending money to moniker via paypal @ 4% fee or enom and others who charge 3%.

act fast as the offer may not last long

imo...

name.com has an outstadnding interface and great security services available...
I find the interface very confusing but maybe it's just me :)

Anyway, I don't trust Enom a lot TBH and they have their share of issues, Moniker has bugs too. However Moniker is domainer-friendly and they have some teeth.

Godaddy don't learn from their past mistakes, they will readily comply with frivolous claims, even from foreign jurisdiction (example: Kentucky domain seizure).
I think Fabulous is probably among the best for serious domain investors, and the fact that they are based outside the US is a plus.
There are certain criteria to be met in order to qualify for a wholesale account at Fabulous.

Netsol ? I think you would be out of your mind to trust them. Historically they have always developed registrant-adverse policies. If you have a short-term memory here's a refresher :)

I look at the question that started this thread,

Best registrar for premium domains?

and ask,

Why just have your premium names with the best registrar?

Godaddy hands down. The best customer service always open even at 3am when I am bored and just want to talk to somebody and that is best security you can have.

The Security is just as good as the rest of the registrars mentioned above if not better, you see a few years ago some dude named Gordon Lyon had his site shut down by Godaddy and so he made a mock site called Nodaddy.com which he made a lot of domainers scared that this was happening all the time, which is FALSE.

Godaddy does not suspend accounts anymore without due cause, Godaddy does not suspend accounts due to incorrect Whois info. Godaddy does not block transfers. Godaddy does not steal your domains. Any problems are deligated to ICANN.

BTW the reason someone was able to get info from your account at godaddy is because they had your call in pin or the last 4 digits of your credit card on file and there is no other way period. If you dont believe me find a domain name registered at Godaddy call them and ask if you can get info without it.

How much did Parsons pay you for the above nonsensical utterings?

Fact is that GoDaddy is absulutely one of the worst Registrars on the Planet when it comes down to security. The do, indeed, give up info/ lock up domains with very little prodding or legal incentive. They will absolutely not help in any way if a name is hijacked...

WTF more do you need to know?

Bari i have many domains with moniker but i must say the support is probably the worst i have experienced IMHO........if you want security use moniker if you want support use anybody but moniker....
Agreed. I love Moniker and fully recommend them, and Bari and my account manager Don are both great, however the general support is awful.

Thankfully though I don't really need their support. And if I do for a serious issue, I'll just go through Bari or Don (etc).

Are you the guy who keeps getting slaughtered on gfy for paying $350k for camgirls.com but didn't have the money to develop it or has it changed hands since ?

Yes I will agree with you Britishbulldog that Moniker support had some hiccups in the past however we are totally back on track and replying/responding to help tickets within 48 hours. Of course if you/or anyone is still running into issues, I’m always available to assist!

Thanks for the shout out Tristanperry.

Thanks for letting me know :) If/when I have an issue in the future I'll shoot along a support ticket.

Hopefully that was all just in the past, so to speak.

Godaddy will sure as hell help you and they will not give any info without pin or last 4 digits of card on file. I know many domainers and not once have anyone of them had a name hijacked, very rare if at all, please no scare tactics. And Again the only way that could happen is if your log in ID and password and pin and e-mail were all compromised, so keep it in a safe place.

Can you say 60-day waiting period and auth codes!

Can you say "Clueless"?

you go ahead and believe what you want... but don't expect the rest of us that have seen the horror stories over the years. You can choose to dismiss my opinion as 'scare tactics' all you want but it won't change the truth.

They WILL remove domain privacy without any of the things you mentioned, even without a court order of any kind... that's not access to the account, it is access to the registrant information that you paid to keep private. Oh yeah... and they will charge YOU for that too.

They WILL deactivate your domain without a court order of any kind as well, and they definitely charge you for that as well.

They WILL add extra "Premium" domains to your cart instead of giving you the option to add them yourself - you have to pay attention and remove them before checkout or... you get charged up the wazoo for that!

Accounts do get hacked. Sure, mostly by insecure emails etc... but once they do... then the fun starts.... GoDaddy will do nothing. NOTHING. They will not look up IP's used to access accounts even. NOTHING. Standard answer? "You'll have to file a UDRP" THAT is not helpful.

Whatever. It is plainly obvious that you have drank the Kool Aide and there is no hope of expanding your universe on this subject. Good Luck.

...and I know a few domainers too ;)

As BidNo mentioned, we have a high level of Security options to customers (if not the highest out of all registrars). And the best thing, the majority of these Security options are FREE!

I can't speak comparatively but can say every aspect of my experience with Fabulous has been first rate. Privacy protection is free, reporting is excellent and very flexible, DNS support (free), DDN domain sales program, knowledgeable and responsive staff, outside of US, volume discounts. Extra security options includes challenge/response questions, physical Security Keys and even an Executive Lock.

We do have certain requirements, and our target audience is professional domainers. If you have 500+ domains, feel free to drop me an email (mike at fabulous dot com) and I'll be happy to help you out.

Cheers,

Mike
