Personally speaking, it's none of our damn business. End of story.

Bad choice IMO - in the UK a bicycle can mean a girl that gets 'ridden' a lot....hence the term 'the school bike', for the biggest slapper in the whole school!

Bicycle.com isn't that bad. Look at milk.com and purple.com. I love the folks that won't develop or monetize, but want $123,000,000.00 for their domain.

so what if some domains are used like this, you can only work with the domains you own yourself. yes it's a shame when you think of what you could do with domains like these, but in the end it's a waste of time to worry about, unless you are trying to buy the name.

but it does make for an interesting thread, a while back people were posting more names like this in a similar thread.

I know of one, entertain.com, used to be a crap page but now there is something weird on there. Either it's a mock-up of a movie, or a major studio bought the domain.

No one here reads as though they are worried or envious, this thread is merely a "look what so and so did with their $xxx, xxx domain, how stupid." It's purely a pointing and laughing situation for entertainments sake. I could careless who does what with what domain, so don't take the thread so seriously bro.

Yeah, obviously it is her domain and she can do whatever she wants with it...

Another that has always baffled me is golf.info... I know someone said that there was once an issue with this domain but I do not know the whole story... What makes it even worse is that it always says that it is available to reg when you search for it on a lot of registrars...

The conversation is very funny. People label domainer investors who park their domain names as "cybersquatters" because they are "wasting a great domain name with a bunch of advertising links." People here are doing the same thing to these web owners for not parking these names! Perhaps they aren't optimizing the value of their domain names, but maybe they don't care about making money from them. Any domain investor would give $xx,xxx - $xxx, xxx for these names, and every year the value continues to increase. They are holding onto a safe investment that costs $6.95 per year to maintain. I am sure they receive hundreds of inquiries a year from people who think they can inform the owners that they are sitting on valuable land and want to make them an offer. I am sure they all know this very well, and they want to hold onto their website and investment. It must be nice to be able to be financially secure enough that the need to optimize the value isn't there.
