That's probably because working at Microsoft's pace can cause cancer.

You will have a hard time finding anything about it.
He was upset that this information leaked to the media.

Indeed, and the fact that he can use it as a tax write-off has nothing to do with it...

I'm pretty sure he doesn't need tax write offs or a ticket into heaven. He and his wife are sincere philanthropists and the world is lucky to have Bill Gates in many ways. More information about the incredible work that Melinda and Bill Gates do can be found at http://www.gatesfoundation.org/default.htm

Think about it... everytime today that you use that MS product you purchased it will impact immunizations for children around the world. How freakin cool is that??

I tend to agree with Vivvy here. Just because he's rich doesn't mean he has to do anything or should do anything but he does and it's a great thing that he and his wife do this.

$750 is a great gesture and can only do good, whatever the motive maybe - however I would like to think that if I had a personal fortune of over $48 billion I would be moved to do considerably more ... after all how many billion do you need to live comfortably?
While accumulating a personal fortune worth more than $48-billion (U.S.), software mogul Bill Gates has made some shrewd moves. But he says the best he ever made was buying vaccines for children in the world's poorest countries.

Actually Mr. W that $750 million is just one of many donations. Bill has said that he wants to give away 90% of his fortune and he is well on his way to doing that.
