Yes, I have heard that he intends to leave almost all of his fortune to his foundation when he dies,, a fact I've always thought at least a little unfair on his kids...

well, the figure i read in an article would give 45 billion to the foundation and 5 billion would be left .. i'm thinking you wouldn't have to feel very sorry for a kid who inherits nearly 2 billion dollars (there are three children).

I don't know, fini... like Vivvy said, they still stand to inherit 2 billion each. I've always thought that too much money made people unambitious and have no goals. Maybe it's his way of teaching his kids to achieve something in their lives. Besides, even after he's gone, I don't think the corporation is going anywhere, they'll get the stocks too.

$750 is a great gesture and can only do good, whatever the motive maybe - however I would like to think that if I had a personal fortune of over $48 billion I would be moved to do considerably more ... after all how many billion do you need to live comfortably?

So if you have a net worth of say $500,000 you think a $45,000 is something to look down upon. Didn't George Bush donate something like $10,000 when he's worth $13m?
