What happened??

Last year, lots of places had GREAT black Friday deals... Hostgator had domain transfers for $6 that included THREE years of registration, this year they offer $7.95 for 1 year...not worth the hassle. They also had dirt cheap hosting, not this year... and of course you can't buy a different hosting plan with them anyway.

Godaddy has absolutely nothing to offer this year, and eNom doesn't either.

It makes me wonder if the domain business is dying... or just too profitable to make deals.

Hopefully they're just waiting for Cyber Monday.

there were lots of godaddy codes for black friday, there are some here http://www.retailmenot.com/view/godaddy.com.
I registered some domains for $1-3 per name and made some cheap renewals. But they all have limits per account, so can't really do much with them. There were also some namecheap codes for $0.98 and $5.98 domain transfers - but only 10 domains per account. It's nice but not all that useful for domainers when you have hundreds of domains to renew. Maybe there will be some good stuff for Christmas?

There are some great discounts for hosting currently on hostgator, ipage, bluehost and many others. 60-90% discounts
