They only update a few times a day? I thought for example if I go to register.com and type in a name which is supose to drop, it will show as available almost immediately after it's available?

Hi Dan,

No, the WHOIS updates once a day - the registrar lookup for availability should be realtime (although not all are).

I have had very good luck with catching names on the drop lists.. finding they are dropp'd and reg'ing them..

EarthBoard.com is one..
and the Prev owner was inquiring of gaining it back..

although.. that deal never did gell

but it's still hosted and is a live site.

and all i did was Reg' it..

and it's still in tact as it was... when the prev. owners had it.

BetterWhois.com uses cashed info. It's 4 days behind to a domain I registered recently with Stargate (it's live). On the other hand, my unix FWHOIS does a double query and returns the current info.

I mainly use them just to check history records of registrants'
data on domain names..

i also like the search box at GoDaddy.. they seem to be pretty quick at updating records...

Now... regarding the KOREAN invasion..

here's a good link for 'All Who Is' and you can select the country etc.. keep close tabs on those KOREANS TimeChange..
