Hi, sedo,

Can I just leave my askig price blank but fill the minimum offer in for my domains(make offer)?
I don't want the visitrs think that my asking price is what the asking price I would sell for(you should know many dnf members think the asking prices should be the final selling prices ) but I don't want to receive too many low balls all the time either.
Can I do that?

thanks.

This was recently discussed and a lot of people expect that the price listed at Sedo is the selling price.

Here's what Sedo says:

Price:
# Asking price: The price you enter is used as a basis for negotiation. The price remains open until you enter an asking price. All offers received are passed on to you.

# Minimum offer: Once you have entered a minimum offer, any offers below that amount will be automatically rejected by the system. In this case, interested parties would be encouraged to make a higher offer.

# Fixed price : Offers are only accepted if they match your exact price. You are however legally obliged to accept this offer! Should you decide to set a fixed price, please enter the fixed price in the 'Asking Price' field and type the letters "FP" in the 'Minimum Offer' field.

Yes, I know the rules, I just want to know can I just list the minimum prices but leave so-called asking prices blank, so people would not misunderstand and either will not send me any offers below my minimum offer prices.

Hello,

That sounds like it would be fine - the minimum offer prices should not be regarded as indications of the sale price.
Most people consider the minimun offer a basis for negotiations - a starting point, if you like.
This feature is extremely useful if, as the owner of a high-value domain name, you do not wish to be notified of every offer under a certain level.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected] or [email protected] for more info.
Good luck with your domains!

Kind Regards,

Nora Cotter
