from "Latest posts".

You can't even browse latest posts without seeing all the crude adult domains.

I am sure I'm not the only one who doesn't want to see these domains everyday when they browse new posts.

Also, there are kids browsing this forum.

I don't agree with removing it from the "today's posts" section. Once you start, people will request other sections be removed, and it will be more trouble than it's worth. Although I don't normally buy adult domains, there have been times where investment quality domains appeared there, and I never would have seen them if they weren't visible under the "today's posts" section...

Since you are an exclusive member, are exclusive sales included in "new posts"?

Yes, they are included. The "today's posts" is the only thing I look at on the forum, that way I don't miss a thing.

I too would like to not see adult topics in "today's posts". Don't know if it is possible because who determines what qualifies as adult? I wish there was an easy solution. Perhaps a separation from non-adult that you would have to opt into in order to join.

That's all I ever look at too. I use the mouseover ALT tags to decide which new posts to click-on combined with the subject line. Rarely if ever look anywhere else in the board, only today's posts so I can check out every individual forum without even looking at or caring which one it is.

There are a few more things we will tighten up on in the next month or so, some rules need to be relaxed while othres need o be tightened. ;)

But this was a good suggestion and timing was right.

as for female domainers

there may be more females here than you realize, as many of them have user names that don't reveal their gender.

Yes, and some of those 'women' webmasters Devil Dog refers to were probably men who thought they'd attract more of their own by pretending to be women. :)

But I have to say I wasn't aware adult domains had much of a presence on the forum. I simply don't go down roads I don't want to, anyway, so maybe that's why I didn't see the signposts.

I want to say I'm really surprised about there are people who feels embarrased about READING an adult name. However, I think that the solution if you feel really upset about reading a domain name is not visiting adult section at all, and maybe adding an option to don't show adult names in latest posts.

However I want to say that kids will found porn in other places, I don't beleive some of then would visit dnf and feel surprised about reading a porn domain name....

At last, I want to say that it's amazing the quantity of violence and sex you see in all the movies, and nobody cares that. But looking that famous tit on TV or reading domain names is questioned. Really unbelievable.

The thread is quite timely as over the weekend I myself thought about dropping the adult names from the forum or setting up a board stricly for adult domains.

I will first ensure they don't show up in today's posts as I feel they don'y belong there.

Perfect timing, I agree with Adam. I think even from a business perspective the more clean this forum is for business the better for all who enjoy.

I think its lame. The names were already censored. Now I am going to have to search out the adult section after looking through the lastest posts. Adult is a perfectly legitimate business. Maybe there should be a section created for underage domainers as I don't feel comfortable buying from 15 year olds as the laws for them are different than those who are 18+.

Noone is getting upset about these domains, although some people don't really want to see F*stF*ckedGrannies*com on the latest posts. We have a separate section for that which is just fine.

If you read my post this is about the domains showing up on the latest posts. This has already been decided they will no longer show up there.

I haven't seen any domains censored...

I believe you have to be 18 to sign up, but anyone can browse the forums.

this should be an adult focused forum. My vote is to stop changing all the rules to better accommodate the kids. They have other places they can go to learn the ropes imho.

If you can't tolerate a few dirty words I don't know how you make it through the day.
