Can u Solve This one??

Three friends went to a hotel. The bill was $ 75/- Each one
contributed $.25/-.

The waiter took the bill to the cashier. The cashier decided to give them a discount of $.5/- & asked the waiter to return them
$.5/-.

Now the waiter was confused. How to distribute 5$ among 3 persons?
He kept 2$ in his pocket & gave one dollar to each one of the 3
persons.

So initially each one had contributed $.25. Now as they are given 1
dollar back, their contribution reduces to $ 24.

They all contributed $ 24 -- that is 24x3=72
& 2 $ are in the
waiters pocket.

The total becomes 74. But they had paid $ 75.

Where is the remaining 1 dollar?

Nothing has happened to the $1
The hotel clerk has $70,
each of the 3 guests has $1 (total of $3),
and the bellhop has $2.
The $75 is fully accounted for.

Here's why we lose the $1:
Adding backwards creates the error
by saying each man only paid $24 and (24*3)+2 doesn't equal 75

while forward addition gives us this:
(25*3)-3[for refund]-2[for waiter]=70 [cashier still has]
;)

Hehe, yeah that one is pretty simple.

Here is a proof that 2 is actually equal to 1.

Proof: 2=1

a = b
a2 = ab
a2 - b2 = ab-b2
(a-b)(a+b) = b(a-b)
a+b = b
b+b = b
2b = b
2 = 1

3 guys share an apartment and want to buy a used TV

They go to the shop and the sales assistant has one .. it costs $30
They each hand over $10

They are leaving when the manager comes out and the sales assistant tells him he has sold a TV for $30
The manager realizes the sales assistant has overcharged them so gives him 5 X $1 bills and tells him to return it.. not being honest he decides to keep $2 and gives the 3 guys a dollar bill each

3 X $9 = 27 + the $2 he kept = $29 ...

Answers on a postcard

The thing is they did not pay $30, but $27. The $2 is the assistant's profit and $25 is what the manager charged.

"gave one dollar to each one of the 3 persons."

They were given 3 dollars in total, but you only accounted for $2.

Here's another old one. You are going to drive a car around a 1 mile track. If you drive it at 30 MPH for the first lap, how fast do you have to drive the second lap in order to average 60 MPH for the 2 laps combined?

The speed of light!
The first lap has already cost 2 minutes which is required to finish the whole 2 laps in order to make it 60 MPH.

Here is an another one,lets see who gets it right.

A man wanted to enter an vip club but did not know the password
that
was required. He waited by the door and listened.
A club member knocked on the door and the doorman said, “twelve.” The
member replied, “six ” and was let in.
A second member came to the door and the doorman said, “six.” The
member
replied, “three” and was let in.
The man thought he had heard enough and walked up to the door. The
doorman
said ,”ten” and the man replied, “five.”
But he was not let in. What should have he said?
