Realnames i see what you are saying i agree completely.
Regarding one's opinions i would recommend keeping them to one's self as i can already feel snoopy and safe want to rule this fforum like they tried to rule GreatDomains. They are so paraniod and think everyone in the domain game will crook stats to get a sale.Sorry to dissapoint guys stats mean nothing to me as i sell most of my names on name value and not stat value.

safesys,

i notice you very quickly snipped off the offending part of that message.., (i still have it)

the abuse is what is concerning ....you know it was offensive.... and i am appalled that you are defending that type of posting!!
as in its completeness it was totally offensive.

i assume you will be taking action outwith public knowledge ??

klickmarket !!

klickmarket, profanities are removed as soon as they are seen. You can hardly say safesys is defending abuse by removing it.

When someone can't see value in what you hold, it can seem like a personal attack - but it needn't be. Some people value based on resale somewhere like ebay. Others value based on ideal end user sales.

The void between the 2 is huge.

I don't think anyone should take appraisals too seriously - and that goes for the "paid for" appraisals too.

I agree, the majority of appraisals are personal opinions that are hardly shared among everyone. Some names are too creative for some, others have less traffic than others expect etc. But still these appraisals are useful as they provide a rough guideline about the domain name's potential.

By the way, some ppl apparently get easily offended if a personal opinion is not what they expected to hear; to these I say that they should ignore the negatives and use the positives constructively.

I don't remember you from gd MMdomains. I certainly never saw snoopy there - this is the first place I've ever seen him.

If you posted at gd with another nick let me know, I have the old logs and still speak daily with the pro's from there so I can get their opinion too.

I thought it easier to ask you seeing as how you brought it up rather than doing a Sherlock Holmes.

I checked my logs, the only pm we ever had was you asking me about an issue with how drops worked and me taking the time to answer you to help you out.

Why would I have a problem with you now?

Paul lets just leave it there you and snoopy have succeeded i will not be posting any of my traffic names for sale here as you have both tarnished my name.If you or snoopy just emailed me and asked for a url with the proper stats i would have supplied but you 2 experts carry on dogging everyone that is trying to make an honest living.

Martin, it would have helped if you had said who you were earlier, I am not known for my psychic skills. To me you were just a new poster with figures for a domain that were not supported by anything visible.

Martin was acting as though I knew who he was basing my posts on that - I didn't and havn't.

I stand by what I've posted and being a "moderator" doesn't mean I'm not able to have my own opinions whether they are for or against an issue. The area of traffic numbers is a major one in domainsville - and if things don't look right then its in everyones interests that questions are raised and it gives the domain holder the opportunity to put those fears at rest.

If posters can't take being questioned or disagreed with here, then they are in the wrong business.

I have to agree with safesys - it was just natural sceptisism if some things appear to look strange - nothing to do with being a newbie or anything like that.
