So a few days ago I noticed that a sales thread had its title changed to "pending" I then asked if it was possible to do that. The op -Biggie, who happens to be a Moderator- put back the title (4750.com) but then after selling the domain he again changed to title to Sold! and closed the thread.

This is the thread:

http://www.dnforum.com/f529/sold-thread-505174.html

So my question is, the Mods (like Biggie) can do with their sales threads whatever they want including editing the title and closing the thread ?

I dont see this fair to the rest of us.

Found out not too long ago members can't close a thread they started-
Now I see members can't change their thread title- they'd have to go thru the mod

Would be nice if the mods would allow members to do both by themselves -- :)

Are we even allowed to message the mods to edit our titles?

I think we should be able to modify our own thread title if we wanted to, without having to obtain a mod's permission (at least Exclusive and Platinum should) And closing threads by the OP should be allowed too. Like I pointed out in post #17, ideally all thread title modifications should be reviewed by mods as routine so that the example I gave (increasing the price of a domain being sold in the middle of the game through the thread title) doesn't happen, and if someone pulls something like that he should be banned

Hi

every year or so, a tiny group of members post about changing titles of threads.

Adam, previously posted a response:

to read past discussions, search "changing thread titles".

Thanks for your cooperation!

Biggie, many things have changed in 7+ years, maybe Adam should revisit this request by his members.
