Well, it's safe to say that the first casualties are non-.com TLDs, from generic like .net, .org to "exotic" country code such as .tv, .pw, but the truth is, overall values of even .com domains are being diluted, not just because of the new gTLDs but also the social media and mobile Internet traffic.
for our generation .com was/is the king.
but newer generations can be taught that .cool (or whatever) is the future, so as the newer generations get to our age the value for .com's will decrease - and the value of any domain will decrease also, because of the overall dilution.
not to mention that a lot of brands just choose fb.com/their_name instead of their-name.com - this is more than a trend now.
Finally some words of wisdom here. Things are happening so fast that many simply haven't caught up with the latest numbers (of e.g. 3Q12, 1Q13).
