Prelim catalogs have been sent.....what ever does not make it to the live there holding a online auction for 7 days after the live auction.

Looking at most of the names seems all kinds of generic domains came out of the woodwork ;)

For those who submitted names that didn't make the list, you still have a chance to get in. Just reg some of the names that did make it. temporaryhairloss.com is still open, or realestatereposession.com or a few others that passed muster.

I got one name too... just wondering, do you guys submit names to multiple auctions such as snapname's and moniker's?

looks like Snap & Moniker are now one and the same :)

To SnapNames Customers:

We’re contacting you with an update about Oversee.net, the parent company of SnapNames. Moniker and its TrafficClub program, well-known service providers in the domain name industry, have been acquired by Oversee.net.

This will not directly affect your participation at SnapNames. However, the combination of services and capabilities by Oversee, SnapNames and Moniker bring all customers a menu of services that support needs throughout the life cycle of a domain name, including procurement, monetization and sales. Watch for more information in the coming weeks about new services available to you.

DOMAINfest Global approaching quickly

If you haven’t already registered, plan to attend DOMAINfest Global, the domain name industry’s premier conference and marketplace. Hundreds of domain professionals will be on hand to network and share information about our rapidly-developing industry.

The event is January 21-23 in Hollywood, Calif. SnapNames will host the SnapNames Live Auction, featuring a list of top-quality names for sale in two separate auction sessions. To register for the event, and to see the catalog of names available at the auction, visit www.DOMAINfest.com.

More information is available in the FAQ here. Of course, we’re always glad to assist you in any way we can, and encourage your questions and comments.

are you serious? un registered domain listed for auction? :?:

Yes, there a quite a few on there. Not sure what is up with that list or why those names are on there, but doesn't make them look to good.

This is bizarre! I registered one just to see what happens now.

Do you think they'll just ignore these submissions or will they actually be on auction???

Im not to sure if the names that are in the Preliminary Catalog are actually going into live auction... Something tells me that will all the acceptances they cant possibly auction every single name off live.

As for the names that were still available... It was most likely one or two people that listed them with wishful thinking. Errors are bound to arise. Regardless, From what I understand...the final list has not been released... which gives them time to make adjustments and clean things up.

Odd indeed. However the problem now is that you won't be able to transfer it to them, if your new reg is stuck at your registrar for 60 days.... or worse, the person who submitted them and now can't follow through might get dinged for the commission..
