The average household carries $8,000 in credit card debt according to MSN. How do you compare?

I have 0 as well...though i think its easier for domainer's to have a lot of credit card debt...they see a good deal on Sedo and they can't resist pulling out the Visa.

A credit card should be used sensibly. I always pay mine off before the end of the billing cycle, thus incurring zero in finance charges. Using a credit card in this manner helps you improve your credit score as well. Now, I cannot vouch for the financial habits of my fellow Greeks....

Tony :D I'm referring to the Greeks that live in Greece who have never been educated in the proper use of a credit line. In the US, credit regulates most aspects of life and for the most part there is lots of material developed to assist with the education on managing debt & credit.

Ok I'll own up to it, but when it's very cold out side. And fuel oil is $2.69 per gallon, and you don't have the money to get the min 150 gallons. You pull out the credit card even though, you know it's a money trap. It's a crappy thing to do yes, but you do what you got to do to get by. Darn good thing they recycle credit card debt, every 7 years or I would not have any credit cards now.

Boy do I got a sad story to tell, but it's to long and it will forced me to think about it, and that will depress me, even more then I am already so I will leave it at that. :)

I worked at a banks credit card branch while at university , I called too many people that have debts and listened to them.
As a result I don't use credit cards :)

Actually I am owed money by credit card company!

Here in the UK the CC companies were levying unlawful fees and now they are having to repay them with interest! :)

So as I had a few late payments back in the 90's (university life - now that was fun) and they charged me it now works out that I will have a positive balance in about 5-6 weeks!
