Hehe....... those are the reactions I was hoping for. :D

I don't know what I'm doing with it. I don't even know why I registered the name!

Right now - I'm just playing around.

I don't know what to think anymore. Definitely does not relate to abortion anymore. You might be onto something dude.

Turn it into an online comic series!!

That would be funny and sick at the same time.

I'm glad to hear you say that. :)

I really don't want to offend anybody. This has nothing to do with either ANTI -or- PRO Abortion. It has nothing to do with Abortion at all.

Just think about all the 'horror' movies you have seen - and scary books you have read. That's what I'm shooting for. Just something that is different - and scary - etc.

Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but it should be...

HumanFoetus ... perhaps you might want to register that one too?

I think it can be either, but "fetus" is better:

Dictionary.com gives both "fetus" and "foetus" as correct.

Overture shows a bunch of searches for "human fetus" but none for "human foetus", and google shows 5 times as many results for "human fetus" than for "human foetus".

foe??

I have never seen it spelled that way anywhere - allthough it apparently is an 'alternate' spelling.

fe·tus ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fts)
n. pl. fe·tus·es
The unborn young of a viviparous vertebrate having a basic structural resemblance to the adult animal.
In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Middle English, from Latin ftus, offspring. See dh(i)- in Indo-European Roots.]

fetus

\Fe"tus\, n.; pl. Fetuses. [L. fetus, foetus, a bringing forth, brood, offspring, young ones, cf. fetus fruitful, fructified, that is or was filled with young; akin to E. fawn a deer, fecundity, felicity, feminine, female, and prob. to do, or according to others, to be.] The young or embryo of an animal in the womb, or in the egg; often restricted to the later stages in the development of viviparous and oviparous animals, embryo being applied to the earlier stages. [Written also f[oe]tus.]

I never thought I would wind up discussing the more 'common' way of spelling 'Fetus' at 6 o'clock in the morning - at a domain forum - while trying to build something around a twisted Human Fetus Logo. Where did I go wrong? LOL

The oe is actually a diphthong, which is the correct spelling. As most keyboards don't have the linked oe it has come to be spelt as oe with separate characters. For some reason Americans have rejected the whole concept of diphthongs and take the easy way out by using only one vowel. This bastardisation of spelling does make it harder to work out the origin of words. This can be interesting. If you look at the origins of biscuit, you will see that American and English derivations are from different languages. Hence the different meanings.

Because we have no idea what they are. 'Thongs' we know. 'Dipthongs' we don't. :D
