Developers have been confronting problems related to this story since the incipient days of website design. Of course, as Tia says, the design part is relatively easy - particularly with the templates out there. The SEO, marketing, monetization part is the more difficult road to tramp with any domain. Of course, when I hear about stuff like this, it bothers me; perhaps the bigger issue at play is whether people who are domainers should try their hand at development, and whether people who are developers should try calling themselves domainers. As a developer, I am not really a true domainer. The only domainers I know of, off the top of my head, who are successful developers are the Castello Brothers. But they are not in the business of development, they just know how to do it well. What I see lacking in the industry is the strong cooperation between the two disciplines. That's the unfortunate source of this manifest issue here, I believe.
