Just another kid....

Regarding payment methods I always prefer using Moneybookers. No chargebacks allowed and there is a very cheap escrow service (1% transaction fee).

What is the time paypal allows for chargebacks? I think it is possible to wait for the pp funds to clear before sending domains to untrusted buyers. Where they using a verified paypal account?

I think paypal allows 60 times for claiming a chargeback, so in no circumstances you can wait.

I think its high time that people should start using moneybookers or E-Gold, no chargebacks there and much lower fee than paypal

Did this cross your mind before using Paypal as the payment method?

I'm sorry to say, I think you share some responsibility yourself, You know Paypal does not guard against non-tangible items, but you chose to risk it and used them anyway.... Not to mention, accepting payment from a guy with a trader rating of zero and a join date of 12/2007. :undecided:

Here's an another old story:

I had registered www.pay.name on D.S.later i put it on auction here.
It was a no reserve auction and the scammer with username weed gave a last moment bid and won the name.i didn't want to sell that domain at that price but as it was my mistake to put a no reserve auction i honored the sale.as he had already few good itrader ratings i agreed to accept paypal payment.he made the payment and i pushed the domain immediately.
Later i came to know that the payment was reversed.i was so desperate losing it.and just when i wanted to post about this guy.he had already had scammed many people and was banned.

Then i contacted domain site regarding this.

and this is the reply the gave

Thank you,

domainsite.com

That is when i came to know registrar's like domainsite and enom etc were a heaven for scammers.now i prefer moniker and GD(Coz adam's there now :) )

The name is still with the scammer in is domainsite account till now. came to know he was from RUSSIA:)

I didn't want to spend xxxx$ on urdp on a name that i hand registered.this thought me a lesson and from there no more paypal for newcomers. :)

These scammers first scam dnf with purchase of membership via creditcard or paypal and later on scam us.dnf should throughly verify who take membership via these means.
